1. I think it is better working with a partner then by your self.So when you are with your partner you would give each other ideas to make your lit circle better. When you have an partner you can tell each other comments and help then to understand  how to make your lit circle better and you get a chance to get lots of comments from each other and it is okay to make some mistakes in your story.

2. The obstacle that I had to overcome when doing the literature circles was when I had to make the questions more difficult. I have a hard time trying to make a person think more critically about something. My questions are usually just simple recall type question. For example I would ask someone what color was the car that Jacob road in? Instead I should have asked why did they paint the car the color of a zebra? I need to sit down with someone and talk in more detail before I come up with a good question. I will try to do this more.

3. I did gain some new understandings in the novel. I thought that the car that was painted the color of a zebra was because the owner of the car liked zebras and wanted to make a cute car to drive. Instead I learned that in order to get close to the animals and help make them more comfortable with you that if you paint your vehicle you can get close to them and they won't show as much fear. This sounds smart to me.

1. How my discussion helped my understanding is read it though and you will think '' oh so that is what you mean by that'' you talk how about the story and it reminds you about what you read. You get peoples ideas and their point of view and the people in your group they give you comments and how to make your story better. when people hear your ideas and they may say '' oh maybe you could change this'' they tell you that you could change a couple things in your story.

2. When you are in your discussion group you may have some connections like '' oh that has happen to me before'' so you have some connections in you friends story. Like for an example Jake had to sell his mom things and you would have to do the same because your mom has die and you don't have enough money to go to stay with your dad in Kenya. When you are in your discussion group you may all not like the book and you think Call It Courage was a better book so you agree that you dint like the book so that is what you might talk in you discussion.

3. When you are in your group you will have lots of  predictions that you might think what will happen next and you may think what happens if Jake did this. So your and your group will want to think what will happen next and what will happen to Jake when he goes to Kenya all by him self. When your group thinks and talks to each other and see what the other people think what will happen next in the story and share their ideas with the rest of the group.
